Fighting Through Pain: The Journey Behind the Gloves

Fighting Through Pain: The Journey Behind the Gloves

What really slowed me down were the hand injuries.

A chronic, frustrating cycle of hand and joint pain that would flare up even after light bag work. Eventually, it got so bad that I couldn’t hit the heavy bag at all.

I tried to solve the problem with a softer bag. I bought the Winning GT-9900, one of the softest bags on the market and it helped, just not enough.

Eventually I figured out the problem wasn’t the bag. It was the glove.

Boxing and kickboxing gloves are not designed to form a true, closed fist and this lack of structural support results in additional impact absorbed by the hands and joint which, over time, results in injuries.

So I tried MMA gloves. But they introduced a different problem: tight finger spacers that dug into my finger webs and distracted me every time I landed a punch. That constant irritation prevented a productive workout.

Then I started cutting boxing gloves at the palm and thumb to allow a better fist formation but the gloves shifted on every impact which was another irritation that prevented a productive workout.

So I developed the only training glove that allows the fighter to form a proper closed fist.

Key Features:

  • Forms a properly closed fist
  • No finger spacers or pressure points
  • Unanchored thumb for clinch grip training

What started as a personal solution quickly resonated with others. MMA fighters appreciated the ability to train in a fist formation that mirrored their fight gloves. Self-defense students and fitness kickboxers loved building muscle memory for a real-world strike, in case they ever needed it.

The Power of a proper closed fist

This glove changed the way I train. From the very first time I hit the bag I felt the impact travel through my fist naturally. No sharp jolts. No pain in the knuckles or wrist. Just power, the way it’s supposed to feel.

Today, these gloves are being used by fighters, coaches, and self-defense students who want to train smarter and protect their most important weapon, their hands.

Whether you’ve been boxing for years or just starting out, don’t wait until injury forces you to stop. Train with gloves invented by someone who’s been through it.

Your hands will thank you.
